Congratulations Kassondra Schwab and the Quesnel Pride Society!  Kassondra submitted the winning proposal for the RBC Youth Future Launch initiative and will be awarded $15,000. The RBC Future Launch Community Challenge was hosted by Community Foundations of Canada and Quesnel Community Foundation (QCF) and was made possible thanks to a $5 million donation from the RBC Foundation.  

The group will host meetings twice per week for peer-run activities and professional education about — and for — the LGBTQ+ community. In June, they will have a week-long LGBTQ+ identity celebration in the community. This project met the criteria established by the RBC Foundation and the Community Foundations of Canada because it is entirely youth-led (by people aged 15-29) and addresses many of the priorities outlined in the application guide such as health, education, inclusion, wellness and belonging.
